The academic year is divided into two semesters:

Autumn Semester: September – January
Spring Semester: February – Jun

Academic calender

Students must be nominated by their home university. After nomination, they receive instructions to apply via the Thomas More platform.
Deadlines:

  • Autumn Semester: Nomination by 15 April, Application by 15 May
  • Spring Semester: Nomination by 15 October, Application by 15 November

International support

Thomas More supports the Online Learning Agreement system. Students can submit their LA digitally or upload it during the application process.

Thomas More organizes both Closed BIPs (for partner institutions) and Open Access BIPs. Topics include:

  • Circular Economy
  • Sustainable Tourism
  • Media & Communication
  • Sports Entrepreneurship

BIP programme

Thomas More does not currently offer a universal student card for exchange students. Students may receive access credentials for campus service

Students access academic resources via the internal system, including schedules, and support services.

Thomas More provides a housing database for student rooms and studio flats near each campus. Residences are available in Mechelen and Antwerp.
