o Theoretical background and research evidence on gamification and game-based learning (SDT, user experience, Moodle tools).
o Design of Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) activities integrated with Design Thinking and the HEROES Spiral Model in cooperation with regional stakeholders.
o Implementation frameworks for Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) alongside the opportunities and limitations of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and assessment.
o Practical demonstration in the editor of the engu platform presented by team Strand Forge, focusing on global challenges (ecology, biodiversity, sustainability, cybersecurity, AI).
Intended learning outcomes
o Ability to implement key game design principles (levels, badges, immediate feedback, branching paths) into online LMS environments such as Moodle to support student autonomy, competence, and belonging.
o Practical competency in designing CBL modules utilizing the HEROES Spiral Model and pitching solutions using the Stanford NABC method.
o Understanding of immersive AR/VR frameworks and AI-driven adaptive personalization in course design and student assessment.
o Skills to navigate and utilize the engu platform editor for creating educational activities centered around global sustainability, AI and technology challenges.
