How to use the HEROES CBL Framework & the Spiral Model
Design, plan, and facilitate Challenge-Based Learning processes using the iterative phases of the Spiral Model (Challenge, Explore, Ideate, Prototype, Realize, Evaluate, Impact) across various course durations and aca-demic disciplines.

Facilitation using the Social, Mental, and Physical Learning Atmospheres
Establish and maintain physical spaces, psychological safety (Social), and creative mindsets (Mental, e.g., improvisation and "Yes, and..." thinking) that encourage engagement, and active collaboration in a safe space.

Formulate Authentic Challenges
Create real-world, open-ended challenges with external and internal stakeholders that align with academic curricular learning goals and regional impact.

Navigate the Shift from Lecturer to Facilitator
Transition from a traditional domain expert to a process facilitator who holds space, manages student uncer-tainty, fosters self-directed learning, and supports teams through complex challenge-solving.

Engage & Collaborate with External Stakeholders
